Performance Automotive & Tire Center

I had an exceptional experience at Performance Automotive and Tire Center this morning. I stopped by without an appointment, and Tony the owner, could not have been more welcoming. He was kind, and accommodating. It's rare to find a business that treats walk in customers with such respect and genuine care. While waiting, I was offered complimentary cold beverages, including soda and water, along with snacks and fresh coffee. The waiting area is clean, comfortable, and inviting, making the time pass quickly. They also have clean public restrooms available, which is another thoughtful touch. What stood out most was the atmosphere. Tony and his team clearly value their customers and work hard to create a welcoming environment. It's easy to see why this family owned shop has earned such a strong reputation in Mesa. If you're looking for honest service, friendly people, and a business that truly cares about its customers, Performance Automotive and Tire Center is the place to go. I'll absolutely be returning and highly recommend them to anyone needing automotive service or tires.

I was very happy with Performance Automotive and will use them again the next time my car has problems or needs general maintenance. After using two mobile mechanics I found on Next Door and not getting the problem fixed, on the recommendation of a friend, I brought my car to Performance Automotive. They were closed but they have an after hours key drop. They were in communication with me the very next morning via phone to explain the problem and the cure, then sent me all the docs to look at via email. I received a call at the end of the day letting me know the car was ready to be picked up. I could not make to them in time, they closed in 30 minutes. I was disappointed that I could not pick up my car until the following Monday, but the owner, Tony, volunteered to come in Saturday morning so I could get my car. That is absolutely over and above and was greatly appreciated. In summary, I felt I was treated fairly, the car is running well again, the price was fair, the people were professional and friendly.

I returned to this shop to get my struts done after they first recommended it during an oil change a few months back. I shopped around and got similar quotes elsewhere, but here they included a full inspection and test drive (fairly charged) and even threw in a free air filter, plus some discounts—excellent value. They were very accommodating—letting me drop my car off overnight, clearly explaining where to leave my keys, and offering a loaner car. Craig was friendly, fair, and respectful, and the staff made the whole experience smooth and easy. They even filled my bikes flat tire with air! Great service all around—I’d give them more than 5 starts if I could!

Came in for a $29 oil change (Groupon)—left with an $84 quote, a blank stare, and a strong desire to never come back. Seems like a steep price for an oil change on a 2012 Corolla, when I can get the same service for my 2021 Tacoma for less. Customer service was so poor that I would just rather give my money to someone else.

Randy and the team at Performance Automotive were absolutely amazing! I had no idea what I was really looking for in new rims and tires and Randy took his time showing me all of my options. They even had a loaner car for me to use while my truck was getting the new tires and rims done. Amazing service, honest, quality work and affordable pricing!
